IoT cloud solution for maintaining and managing e-bike charging stations

adesso worked together with Spelsberg to develop a cloud platform that digitalises the customer’s most exceptional product to date: bike charging stations (BCS) that allow users to charge their bike without having to bring their own charger with them. The cloud platform can be used to access statistics on the charging station, evaluate conditions and even control the charging station.

Managing e-bike charging stations

More and more clients, for instance, from the hotel and restaurant industry, are offering customers the possibility to charge their e-bikes. To make the charging experience easy not just for the end customer, the cloud solution that was developed provides a central management tool that includes statistics, evaluations and options for restricting access.

Option to integrate third-party systems

Data from the charging stations, including information on the availability of charging points, can also be integrated into third-party systems – for example, navigation systems – via an API that is provided.

Additional digital services

How can the data from e-bike charging stations be viably used for marketing purposes and customer analyses? We do not want to give too much away just yet, but it is possible to logically combine the data here as well.
