DMEA 2024: adesso unveils AI support potential for TI Messenger

DMEA 2024, Europe's leading trade show for digital health, is scheduled to run in Berlin from 9 to 11 April. For the first time, adesso, a leading German and international IT service provider, will have its own booth at the event. Visitors to Booth E-102a in Hall 3.2 can see for themselves the comprehensive range of services the digitalisation partner offers for the healthcare sector. adesso will be presenting an AI-supported future version of the Telematics Infrastructure Messenger (TI-M) instant messaging service, which the company will be offering in partnership with famedly and element . The new messenger has the potential to take intersectoral communication between service providers, payers and patients to a whole new level by enabling secure end-to-end communication among all stakeholders in accordance with the specifications of the telematics infrastructure. As another special highlight, adesso will have Apple Vision Pro headsets on hand so visitors can experience the potential applications of augmented and virtual reality in the fields of health and life sciences.

Focusing on industry challenges

The slogan for adesso’s appearance at the event is “Let's connect Health.” The company will be addressing key topics that are vital to the industry in its digitalisation efforts. Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a pivotal topic. Visitors can use an intuitive app to see how far along their company is in terms of readiness for AI and Generative AI (GenAI). The experts from adesso will provide concrete suggestions for implementing these technologies quickly in practice, based on application scenarios that have already been tried and tested. Scenarios include efficient, intelligent patient management, targeted patient communication in preventive and follow-up care and the integration of AI into medical devices and/or patient-centred apps.

Another important topic, which is also a basic prerequisite for the introduction of AI and GenAI on a large scale, is the creation of cross-organisational and cross-industry interoperability for an optimal data flow. The seamless interaction of IT systems and organisations will form the basis for cost-efficient and high-quality patient care in the future. The adesso experts will discuss how interoperability can be realised in the healthcare sector, taking into account complex data protection requirements and IT security strategies and within the framework of hybrid and multi-cloud strategies. They will also answer questions about advanced hospital and patient information systems (HIS/PIS) and provide advice on topics such as developing a successor strategy for the discontinued SAP module IS-H and the i.s.h.med hospital information system based on it – one of the most pressing issues for many hospitals in the German-speaking countries.
